Inadine dressings are knitted, non-adherent wound contact dressings impregnated with 10% povidone-iodine in a polyethylene glycol (PEG) base. As povidone-iodine is released over time, it delivers broad-spectrum antimicrobial action against bacteria, fungi, protozoa and some viruses — helping to reduce microbial load in and around the wound environment.
Unlike many dressings that stick to the wound bed, Inadine’s non-adherent design helps minimise trauma and pain at dressing changes — preserving healthy granulation tissue and improving patient comfort.
Key Benefits
Antimicrobial Protection: Sustained iodine release supports infection prevention and management.
Non-Adherent: Minimises sticking to the wound bed, easing dressing changes and reducing pain.
Visual Change Indicator: Dressing colour may change as iodine is released, helping clinicians time dressing changes.
Versatile Use: Suitable for ulcers, minor burns, traumatic skin injuries, and post-surgical superficial wounds.
Broad Spectrum: Effective against common pathogens, including MRSA in some studies.
Easy to Apply & Remove: Flexible knitted fabric adapts to wound shape and reduces trauma.
