Kendall AMD Foam Dressings

Indications: Kendall AMD antimicrobial foam dressings are indicated for use in management of:

• Post-surgical incisions
• Pressure ulcers
• Venous stasis ulcers
• Diabetic ulcers
• Donor sites
• Abrasions
• Lacerations
• 1st and 2nd degree burns
• Dermatologic disorders
• Other wounds inflicted by trauma
• As a secondary dressing or cover dressing for packed wounds

Applying Kendall AMD antimicrobial foam dressings:

• Cleanse the wound in accordance with normal procedures
• Dry the surrounding skin thoroughly
• Select the dressing which will provide a minimum of a 2 inch (5 cm) foam margin around the edges of the wound. If necessary cut the dressing to size to ensure a smooth, continuous fit with the skin surface
• Kendall AMD antimicrobial foam dressings should be applied with the white side touching the dressing site or with the topsheet facing up
• Place Kendall AMD antimicrobial foam dressing onto the wound surface and hold in place by covering with adhesive tape or an appropriate secondary dressing
• The dressing should be changed when signs of saturation become visible along the edge of the dressing or whenever good nursing practice dictates
