Tegaderm® is a transparent film dressing that is used to cover and protect catheter sites and wounds. It maintains a healing environment for the wound. The dressing has a breathable, transparent film and allows the exchange of moisture and oxygen. It also acts as a viral and bacterial barrier to protect getting contaminated from the outside. The transparency allows the monitoring of I.V. sites without the removal of the dressing.
