Silvercel® dressings are made with a blend of alginate, carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and silver-coated nylon fibres that effectively treat chronic wounds. There are two types of silvercel dressings; Silvercel Adhesive Dressing and Silvercel Non-Adhesive Dressing. Both these dressings are used for moderate to heavy exuding wounds. The Silvercel Adhesive Dressing is a hydro-alginate dressing that comprises high G along with other constituents. It consistently releases silver ions for up to seven days and acts as a barrier against bacteria and Candida Albicans. The Silvercel Non-Adhesive Dressing creates a non-adherent wound contact layer for the fast healing of the wound.
