Compression Bandages are used in the treatment of venous insufficiency ,venous leg ulcers and oedema. Doppler testing is recommended prior to commencing treatment with compression bandages and should be applied by person with experience in the use of bandaging to provide graduated compression as inappropriate use can lead to tissue necrosis.
The Coban™ 2 Layer Compression System is a comfortable, easy to apply compression system that delivers sustained, therapeutic compression for the treatment of venous leg ulcers and related conditions. It consists of a Foam comfort layer bandage and a cohesive compression layer bandage. Coban 2 is suitable for most patients whilst Coban 2 Lite achieves a lower resting pressure and is more suitable for patients less tolerant of compression therapy.
