Aquacel Ag Dressings are primary wound dressings made of Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose (NaCMC) with 1.2% silver in ionic form. The NaCMC used in these dressings is produced in the form of textile fibre and presented in the form of fleece held by needle bonding. The silver ions released by NaCMC give a sustainable antimicrobial effect in the presence of sodium ions from the wound exudate.
