Urgosorb Silver Dressings
Urgosorb® Ag/Silver is an absorbent dressing with a broad spectrum antibacterial action including MRSA. It is composed of Calcium alginate fibres, Hydrocolloid and silver particles. Upon contact with exudate, it forms a gel which maintains a moist healing enviroment and gradually silver ions are released to control and prevent infection.Has haemostatic properties. Suitable for the treatment of moderately to heavily exuding infected wounds.
Indications
Urgosorb Silver Dressing is useful for the management of moderately to heavily exuding infected wounds; for promoting autolytic debridement; as an antimicrobial.
Precautions
Do not use in individuals with a known sensitivity to any of the components of the dressing. Do not use on patients undergoing MRI scans. Avoid contact with electrodes or conductive gels during electronic measurement procedures.
